Originally from just outside London in Kent, I’ve been a Leeds and Manchester photographer since 2012. Starting out in photography in the early 90s, I self taught on an old 35mm Praktika camera, taking inspiration from the fashion and style photography at the time, the great documentary and street photographers, and a lot of the aesthetics of independent film (I’m also a filmmaker; Coffee Films).
A lot of my work has been as a music photographer, documenting tours, recording sessions and live performances through to album and band portraits with artists like Killing Joke, The Pigeon Detectives, Humanist, The Howl and the Hum, Bull and Avalanche Party.
The fashion photographer mostly comes out shooting portraits and Instagram projects with actors, models, and influencers including Ruby Barker (Bridgerton) for brands like Pandora, Camille Rose, Müller and Netflix.
I’ve been fortunate to be published in a wide bunch of things including Vogue, Uncut, Total Film, Sundance TV, BFI, Louder Than War, Aesthetica, Deadline, One&Other, BBC Music, Entertainment Weekly, Radio Times, Indiewire, BBC News, Express, Telegraph, Daily Mail, Metro, Yahoo, Independent, Guardian, and Herald.
Enjoy the photos, and give me a shout if you’d like to talk about documentary photos for a tour or film shoot, capturing a gig with something other than shots-from-the-pit, or building up a model portfolio, actor’s headshots, or social media content.
Cheers,
